Don't forget to take special care with your family pets.
When moving a distance be sure and make arrangements for the lodging of your animals by calling ahead. The internet is a good source for this information.
To avoid the loss of your pet the purchase of an ID tag with the name of a relative or friend, their area code and phone number could be the only link between you and your lost pet while going through a move.
Once settled in your new area replace the old ID with your last name, area code and phone number.
Even if your animals are kept inside at all times it is still important they have on ID tags for the one time they do get out.
Check out the laws in your new area pertaining to pets and leash laws.
If your animals do get lost check with the shelter every day.
Take pictures of your animals on a regular basis just in case they ever do need to be identified.
